US 23766 Tutor Answer Guide - available now!
A new Tutor Answer Guide ($35) is now available to support US 23766 Demonstrate knowledge of the tourism industry.
Designed to supplement The World of Tourism and Travel textbook by A. Collier (available for $45), the Tutor Answer Guide is a 72 page booklet complete with a free CD of six power points that support each chapter within the textbook. Tutors will gain an overview of the chapter and activity answers, as well as details and tips on assessment.

The Modern Apprenticeship Package - now finalised!
The newly developed Modern Apprenticeship package is now available.
Designed to introduce new MAs to their programmes, the package covers information on how MAs work, what to expect, and where support is available. Workbooks covering the Core Skills component are designed to help MAs through the theory unit standards of this training.

Featuring effective learning exercises, examples, case studies, content delivery techniques and development tools, the workbook is designed to help ADS Guides meet all performance criteria for LCP in Attraction and Excursion Guiding. New look maps
As part of ATTTO’s new look resources, we are now using the services of a professional map supplier to contribute to the associated manual and assessment materials. This will result in better quality maps and pictures for your classroom.
The Common Assessment Tasks (CATs) that contain maps will be available to download from the ATTTO website, and will contain new and up to date 2009 maps which meet unit standard requirements and reproduce well when photocopied. If you would like to provide feedback on our new maps, email Maps will also be available for purchase in our upcoming Teacher and Tutor Destination Resource Kits.

Maori in Museums Trainee Manual
This manual will assist trainees to develop an understanding of Māori people, their culture and ways of doing things, and how these impact on Museum practice. It also provides ideas and suggestions for engaging effectively with local Māori communities or individuals in the activities of Museums, Galleries and other Cultural Centres.

The Awesome Race Board Game
Originally developed as a supplementary resource for US 24729 Demonstrate knowledge of world tourist destinations, the board game can now be purchased as a stand-alone game for $30 – an excellent solution for tourism teachers looking to purchase extra copies of the game, or for teachers to use in other relevant subjects.

New Destination Resource Kits are currently in development, and will be available for purchase before the end of this year. Unit standards 18211, 3727, 18212, 18228 and 24731 will be supported with their own suite of kits, which will include:

National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) with strands in Retail Travel, and Wholesale Travel

ATTTO intends to develop training resources to support this new qualification. We have consulted with tutors to establish the type of resources that will be most suitable, and anticipate that these resources will be available in January/February 2010.

Mock Travel Policies and Procedures Handbook
This handbook will be designed to help travel students understand workplace policies and procedures. It will be part of the resource package for the National Certificate in Travel (Level 3) with strands in Retail Travel, and Wholesale Travel [Ref: 1481] .
National Certificate in Tourism (Guiding) with strands in Excursion Guiding, and Attraction Guiding and the Award in Guided Interpretation Aotearoa
ATTTO is developing online and paper based training and assessment material to support the new National Certificate in Tourism (Guiding) with strands in Excursion, and Attraction Guiding and the Award in Guided Interpretation Aotearoa. This material will have a phased release starting in 2010, which will begin with resources for the Award in Guided Interpretation Aotearoa.
National Certificate in Travel (Level 4) [Ref 0013]
ATTTO intends to develop training resources to support this new qualification, and anticipate that resources will be available during the 2010 academic year.
