The qualification is intended for new entrants to the industry and people who have been working within the industry. All the standards are compulsory as they represent essential knowledge and skills for the airline check-in role.
The qualification recognises a broad range of skills and knowledge including security at an airport, knowledge of dangerous goods, customer service experiences in a tourism workplace, handling for passengers with a disability, basic and advanced check-in, handling of unaccompanied minors, and fragile or oversized baggage.
