ATTTO 2012 Scholarships
ATTTO is committed to making sure that bright motivated people continue to work in these dynamic industries. This commitment is shown in the annual scholarships on offer to Gateway students, tertiary students and current staff in training.
FLYING START SCHOLARSHIPS
For students involved in Gateway programmes
- Aviation Flying Start
- Visitor Sector Flying Start (Tourism Travel Museums)
The scholarships mean winners can enrol in their next level of ATTTO qualification and have all study-related costs up to the value of $1,000 covered by ATTTO.
Who can apply? Any secondary school student who is currently taking part in a Tourism, Travel, Service Sector or Aviation Gateway programme.
Conditions: Winners must enrol in a qualification through their workplace or through a tertiary provider within 12 months of finishing school.
Applicants must submit:
- A completed application form
- Provide evidence of commitment to future career direction. This may be any evidence of a creative project, reference and or evidence of outstanding achievement in the field, and a submission answering this question: “If I had $1,000 to spend on professional development how would I spend it and how would this benefit my career?”
- A recommendation letter from a current teacher/tutor
- A letter of support from their current Gateway employer
- Evidence of credits achieved as part of the Gateway course, from a Gateway coordinator or current teacher
- Ideal: Additional related evidence attached
NEXT STEP SCHOLARSHIPS
For secondary or tertiary students studying aviation, tourism or travel; or subjects relevant to a career in the museums sector.
